Alpha Term 2
Introductory evening: Tuesday 17 March 2009 (19:00-20:30) in the Function Hall
Alpha Course starts: Tuesday 21 April 2009 - Tuesday 23 June 2009, including full day Saturday 16 May 2009 (essential part of course!)
Note: There will be no Alpha on Tuesday 16 June.

Alpha Term 3
Alpha Course starts: Tuesday 28 July 2009 - Tuesday 22 September 2009, including full day Saturday 22 August 2009 (essential part of course!)

Registration is necessary for catering and placement purposes. Please let us know that you are planning to attend the course. If you register by e-mail, please include the following information, to help us place you in a suitable small group:

• Name & Surname
• Cell phone & e-mail address
• Area pastor (if you are a member of Hatfield)
• Life Group leader (if you are part of a Life Group)
• Suburb in which you live (members and non-members)
• Age and Gender

What is involved?
The Alpha course consists of 15 talks, including the introductory talk. These are presented once a week over 8 weeks, and one full Saturday, usually after week 6. A typical evening consists of refreshments, a talk and a small group discussion.
Well-designed guest manuals help people to make the most of key points raised and are useful references for further reading.

Centralized Alpha
For our centralized courses, small groups are formed based on district and area/suburb of residence. The intention is for those small groups who decide to continue meeting after the course, to connect easily within the area where they live.
Young Adult small groups might be put together according to district, if there are enough people. Otherwise, if groups of friends register together, they will be able to remain together.

We also cater for a youth table for Grades 8-12, subject to a minimum of 6 applicants, for those families who would like to do this course together. For the sake of free discussion, adults and children are not joined in small groups, but families will be able to share their experiences at home.

Meetings end promptly at 21:30. We offer child minding for toddlers who are out of nappies and for primary school children.

District Alpha Courses
Our congregational boundaries stretch over a large area and we want to make it possible for as many people as possible to attend an Alpha course, or to invite a non-Christian friend to a course.
The different areas in each district will therefore also be hosting Alpha Courses at times throughout the year. Typically, these are presented at the home of a pastor or life group leader. This is perfectly suited to people who don’t want to travel to church at night or simply enjoy a more intimate setting.
